'China's Nostradamus' makes chilling US-Iran war prediction as two forecasts come true

 A lecturer being hailed as 'China's Nostradamus' has made a chilling prediction about the ongoing US- Iran tensions in the Middle East - and it's not what most people would expect.

A Chinese-Canadian teacher and host of a hugely popular YouTube channel, Professor Xueqin Jiang is becoming an online phenomenon thanks to three forecasts he made back in 2024 - two of which have already come true with stunning accuracy.

In May 2024, Jiang made three predictions during his lessons at the secondary school in China where he teaches, with clips posted to his famous YouTube channel, Predictive History, which currently has 1.87 million subscribers.

Prediction one

A Yale University graduate, Jiang said he expected Donald Trump would win the 2024 election and return to power, successfully securing a second term in the White House. Prediction number one - bang on.

He followed his forecast with another disturbing projection: "If he [Trump] does become president in a second term, there will be a very strong likelihood that the United States will go to war with Iran."

Prediction number two

Jiang highlighted that one of the key reasons behind why the United States would engage in conflict with Iran would be influenced by Israel's interests, something we are seeing play out in real-time as the joint US-Israel Operation Epic Fury continues.

Third alarming prediction

So what formed Jiang's third and final 2024 forecast concerning potential US-Iran hostilities? An American defeat.

Looking at theoretical warfare scenarios and hypothetical situations, Jiang explained why any US attack on Iran would prove catastrophic for the Superpower, declaring: "The third big prediction is that the United States will lose this war, which will forever change the global order."

Standing resolutely behind his trio of predictions across multiple videos uploaded to his platform, the academic argued that Iran's demographics and geography would make any prolonged American occupation of its territory impossible, as the Middle Eastern nation's extended logistics networks, formidable internal resistance, and harsh terrain would quickly turn any initial battlefield successes into catastrophic strategic failure.

Jiang predicted in one clip on his platform: "If this war [US-Iran] were to happen, there's absolutely no way America can win this war."

The scholar of history and philosophy drew parallels between a potential US invasion of Iran and the Sicilian Expedition from 415 to 413 BC. This saw Athens launch a massive military campaign against Sparta, Syracuse and Corinth in an attempt to capture and control Sicily - a venture that ultimately ended disastrously for the Athenians.

The science behind the forecasts

Starting his tenure as a History and Philosophy teacher at Moonshot Academy Beijing in 2022, the professor bases his predictions on a careful examination of recurring geopolitical incentives, historical patterns, and Game Theory.

His YouTube channel's description sheds light on the underpinnings of his theories: "In his Foundation series, Isaac Asimov proposed that the science of 'psycho-history' will help humanity understand its past, predict its future, and control its present. This channel is dedicated to exploring if 'psycho-history' is indeed possible."

In explaining why Iran also harbours a desire for conflict with the US, Professor Jiang expanded in one of his 2024 lectures that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (also known as the Iranian Revolutionary Guards or IRGC) "want war with the United States because they're very angry about US interference in Iran."

Jiang said: "We can suspect that a second Trump term war with Iran will be a major priority. Basically the United States is looking for a reason and Iran wants to give them a reason and that's why I think war between the United States and Iran is very likely in the next two to four years."

Supporting his predcitions in 2026

Professor Jiang appeared on the US news programme Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar, outlining his perspective on how events might develop.

In clips posted to YouTube on March 2, the scholar declared: "Given my analysis of how the war is progressing, I think that Iran has many more advantages over the United States. The reality is, right now, it's a war of attrition between the United States and Iran, and Iranians have been preparing 20 years for this conflict."

He added: "They've had many practice runs. Last June was a 12-day war when the Iranians were able to examine and analyse the strike capacities of both the Israelis and the Americans. And they have had a lot of time, eight months, to prepare fully for this new attack."

The former journalist claimed Iran's allied forces - Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis - "have been able to really grasp the American mentality - and now they have a pretty good strategy of how to weaken and ultimately destroy the American empire".

The academic said: "What the Iranians are doing is waging war against the entire global economy."

Jiang went on to explain how Iran is "striking the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries and going after their critical energy infrastructures", painting a picture of how an Iranian drone attack on a GCC nation's desalination plant could leave millions without water in a matter of weeks.

The scholar further highlighted how Iran has effectively blockaded the Strait of Hormuz which "supplies 90% of food for the GCC countries".

When asked if the US will send ground troops into Iran, the professor forecasted: "We've never had a president in history where you were able to regime change from the air alone.

"You need ground troops. And so unfortunately, what's going to happen over the next few months is that pressure will build on America to send ground troops especially, from the GCC countries and from Israel, which are being pounded right now by the Iranians."

Whether 'China's Nostradamus' will be proven correct remains to be seen as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East. However, Professor Jiang's stark warnings have undoubtedly cemented his reputation as one of the most accurate and widely-discussed geopolitical analysts of our era.
